Vernissage: 13th of May, GSB (Stockholm)

It was Konsthopp’s first time at Gallery Steinsland Berliner (GSB) and we didn’t really know what to expect. But at the moment we entered the place we already knew that we liked it. The impressive drawings on the floor done by the artist of the night and the people gathered together reminded us once again why we like what we do. It’s this meeting between people and art that just creates some kind of a holistic atmosphere.

GSB focus on young art and how it relates to popular and urban culture, introducing artists from all over the world. “ANYWHEREBUTTHERE” is an exhibition by Ragnar Persson, a Stockholm based artist. Detailed pencil drawings, sculptures and collage are inspired by depicting animals, skulls, girls and the teenage- and hard rock aesthetics.

Gallery Steinsland Berliner published their first paper this year, GSB paper, and in the issue the theme is on meetings:

“We at GSB do not believe that it is possible to find that specific second half that makes us whole again. We do, however, believe that meetings and associations create a kind of kinship that can be likened to the act of merging. The more meetings you experience, the more whole you become”.

GSB might get the point? At least we like it!
